Musician Steve Miller Lists His Lavish Island Mansion For $16.8 Million
Musician Steve Miller has listed his lavish, 11,686-square-foot home located on San Juan Island, Washington for $16.8 million USD.
Built in 2011 on 38.72 acres of land, the mega-mansion boasts a home theatre, an art museum, five bathrooms and a safe room to store guitars, as well as some unusual woodworking details.
“Mr. Miller was very exacting in the selection of the wood materials,” said Dean Jones, president and chief executive officer of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, which holds the listing. “There are no knots in this building. This isn’t a home with a bunch of drywall. It’s very organic, celebrating the natural wood and the beautiful surroundings.”
The house itself is extremely private, sitting on top of a hill overlooking the harbour. The expansive outside space boasts manicured lawns, several hot tubs and fire pits and even a small rock ampitheatre, as well as a 360-foot deepwater dock to park your yacht.
“It’s a serene and extremely private property that [Miller] would retreat to after the tours and the big cities and all those lights and people,” said Jones.
