There’s a four-letter word that I’ve become associated with that seems to make most people grimace and wrinkle their noses in disgust. Kale. This summer I have become absolutely obsessed with eating the dark, leafy green. Sometimes I choke down certain foods just because they are “good for me” or I’m trying to counterbalance the cheesecake I inhaled the night before. But I’ve found a way to eat lots of kale and love it.
Kale chips aren’t a new thing…I’m pretty sure ladies everywhere have tried them as an experiment and then told her friends about it. Then her friends went and blogged about kale chips and now they’re hotter than tanning beds for the cast of Jersey Shore.
I happened to Tweet about kale chips several months ago and since then, I’ve been asked more times than I can count how to make them.
Through trial and error, I’ve discovered what I think works best. The main thing is to make sure your kale is as dry as possible after you wash it. Otherwise, it won’t crisp up.
