Christmas High Intensity Interval Training
Challenge yourself this Christmas season with an intense session of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). What is HIIT exactly? It is generally quick powerful bursts of exercise that can last anywhere between 10 to 60 seconds. The work is followed by rest that can last one to four times the length of the interval.
The following HIIT workout is designed to keep your fitness level up all holiday season long while helping you build lean muscle, blast fat, train your core, and help improve your overall fitness. Make sure to move quickly from one exercise to the other with little to no rest. For the exercises that require a weight, please use an amount that is difficult but not impossible to execute and remember your form. This will ensure that you get an efficient, effective and injury-free workout.
Also make sure that you warm up with five to 10 minutes of walking, running or cycling around your house. If you are at the gym feel free to use a machine of choice. The warm up is to make sure that you raise your heart rate and warm up your muscles for safety and effectiveness.
The Full workout is to be done in sequential order: Thruster x12, Tuck Jumps x20, Raise Leg Sit Up With Twist x 12 each side, Split Jumps x20, Decline Push Ups x 12, Bench Hops x 20, 60s Rest, Repeat All x 3-4
