The wedding dress has gone through much evolution and change since 1985 when our first issue hit newsstands. When we launched, the world was still very much smitten with Lady Diana Spencer’s epic, ivory silk taffeta and antique lace princess gown, complete with large puffed sleeves, heavy embellishment (pearls, bows, crystals and lace!) and colossal 25-foot train. Her bridal fashion influence continued well into the ‘90s and it wasn’t until the end of that decade in 1996 when Caroline Bessette married John F.
